Nissan Overview:
For 2009, Nissan brings its much-anticipated, sporty, racetrack-bred GT-R to America. The super high-performance GT-R coupe has a 3.8-liter, 480-horsepower V-6 that goes 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds. In other exciting news, Nissan will unveil it’s the new 370Z coupe/convertible. Formerly the 350Z, the 370Z boasts a bigger engine and will be smaller and lighter making it faster and more agile than the 350Z. Nissan’s flagship sedan, the luxurious and powerful Maxima gets a facelift and returns to its four-door-sports-car roots. The Maxima receives more power (290-horsepower), larger rear brakes and a new steering system. If the Maxima is too big, the smaller Altima is available in midsize sedan or sophisticated and sporty coupe. If you like to save money on gas, then you will be drawn to the Altima Hybrid. Get an unbelievable 35 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway, while retaining classic Altima power and styling. Nissan’s popular and economically sound compact sedan, the Sentra gets a redesigned rear trunk lid, new cloth seat trims, available MP3 compatible radio and standard automatic door locks. Entry-level buyers will be impressed by the inexpensive and fuel-efficient Nissan Versa sedan or 5-door hatchback wagon, boasting an impressive amount of cargo room. Last year’s brand-new Rogue compact SUV is great for those looking for the fuel economy of a sedan and the utility of an SUV. After taking a year off, the redesigned and reengineered midsize crossover Murano is here to compete against the Ford Edge, Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. Nissan’s super-utility, off-road machine, the Xterra gets a revised front-end and standard side curtain airbags. Side-impact and side curtain airbags are now standard in the powerful and reliable Pathfinder SUV. If the Xterra and the Pathfinder aren’t big enough for you, you should consider the gargantuan Armada. Nissan’s only minivan – the Quest - allows you to transport the kids in style and comfort.
Nissan’s 2009 truck lineup continues with multiple versions of its compact Frontier pickup and its full-size Titan, which offers a powerful V-8 engine and excellent towing capacity. |
