Very unprofessional, when it comes to dealing with
Very unprofessional, when it comes to dealing with customers in Warren's the service manager there, Peter busher, I'll blankly try to rip me off. Get money from me instead of going through my warranty tore my car down apart. Then try to charge me when I have recordings in paperwork stated that Peter busher supposed to went through car shell first. He never did that what he told me was he was trying to cut the middleman out, which I am the middleman, I have actual paperwork, showing all the proof. Of what happened?I even have the recording the owner of the Volvo place.Try to put his 2 cents in it.When he had no knowledge of what was going on , or he had knowledge of what was told to him , he never reached out to me to ask me what actually happened , they very unprofessional

Never Again
There are few things I regret as much as having bought a car from my Fairweather Friends at Gengras Volvo in East Hartford. I bought a used Volvo XC90 from them and as soon as I took possession of the car I started realizing that this car had multiple issues, some of which I had asked about when testing the car but was assured those things were normal for that car by the salesman. The salesman also promised that one glaring body issue would be fixed, they hacked it together and it failed soon after. They agreed to fix one of the issues but never called back as promised. When I called and left their manager a message he didn’t call back. I tried again after making an appointment with my mechanic to deal with said issue and they promised to fix, but the manager never called back as he said he would. When I complained about their failed body issue fix they chose not to even respond. It may have been naive of me but I went in there believing that the official dealer of a luxury car such as Volvo would not dump a car such as this on a consumer but auction it. I also know that any dealer with an ounce of integrity would have dealt with issues that surface right after the car is sold with full seriousness. This is the kind of reaction I would expect from a back road bottom feeder of a dealer, not the official dealer of a luxury vehicle. I will never do business with any dealership of the Gengras family again. And, Chris James general manager. Don’t bother leaving a response here, I will not call you. You have my contact information and if you are serious about fixing these issues I would welcome a call from you to go over this and I will amend my review if there’s a satisfactory remedy to be found.

Disappointed
I bought an older XC70 from this dealer. It was a model that I had been looking for so I traveled almost three hours from NY to CT to buy it after a friend who lives nearby who had purchased a vehicle from them last year referred me. The whole buying process I would have rated a 5. However, after driving the car home from the dealer and then parking it front of my home and locking the doors, the alarm siren went off randomly. I thought maybe I hit the panic button inadvertently so I didn't think much of it. Same thing happened for the next two days of the weekend. On Monday I contacted the salesperson to let her know what was going on and to see if anything could be done. Knowing that the car is sold as is I understand if things go wrong its on my but I felt that this was something that happened literally the first time I shut the car off and locked the doors. I imagine this was something that was going on prior to me taking possession of the car. After three days I had not heard back and followed up on the 4th day. I was told via text that the car was sold as is and there was nothing that they could do for me because they were unaware of the issue and the car passed all the safety requirements. I found this super disappointing because 1. there was no apology 2. there was not suggestion to at least let their service department look at it even if it was my responsibility for the cost 3. no goodwill in offering to have the service department fix it and they give a discount or cover some of the cost if not the entire amount which I believe would have been appropriate and 4. they were not aware of this issue but I literally turned it off for the first time and informed them Monday after picking up the car on Friday-having the first instance happen at 6pm on Friday, the second instance happening after the dealer was closed on Saturday and again on Sunday when they were closed for the day. If this was something that happened after some time of me owning the car, I get it, its on me since the car was sold as is. This happened within 5 hours of ownership. I have never heard directly from the manager and it seems that I am on my own now to go to a local Volvo dealership to have this taken care of. It is less than a week since I purchased the car and it still has the temporary plate on. We will be looking to lease an XC60 in the near future to replace another car in the household and I had inquired information from the finance department regarding out of state leasing- unfortunately I will not be going back here
